Best Rossignol Snowboards for Winter Shredding

We’re back among the products of one our favourite brands and this time we’re hunting for the best Rossignol snowboards.

Based in Isère, Rossignol is a French brand that specialises in alpine, snowboard and Nordic equipment. They also create fantastic outerwear and accessories.

You might recognise their iconic rooster logo, which symbolises a rich history that spans over a century. The rooster is emblematic of French sport and famously adorns the country’s greatest athletes.

It indicates the high level of performance that this brand is devoted to. Rossignol’s mountain-inspired pieces are built to last, as well as being modern and stylish – well-suited for both slopes and city walks.

Doing Things The Rossignol Way

Rossignol launched in 1907 and sprouted from the mind of Abel Rossignol, who carved his first wooden boards in Voiron. Later, Abel worked with Emile Allais, who was a medallist in the 1936 Olympic Games.

The brand’s rooster has symbolised France since the Middle Ages. This Gallic iconography is one sign that Rossignol will always stay true to a traditional French spirit of creativity and flair, which is timeless.

There’s a reason this is one of our go-to ski brands, having survived for 110 years since Rossignol made his own pair of downhill skis. We love the emphasis they place on tradition and history.

That being said, the brand does continue to innovate with skis, boots, bindings and apparel that always stand out in the market. They certainly don’t swerve any modern technologies or breakthrough materials.

Nothing can stop their momentum. In fact, almost 40% of all downhill skis were made by Rossignol back in 2000. Rossignol snowboards are just another way in which they expand their global appeal.

Now, we’re going to look at Rossignol’s snowboards for Men and for Women. These picks were taken from an impressive collection of snowboards, splitboards, bindings, boots, and accessories for riders of all abilities:

10. MEN’S ROSSIGNOL XV SASHIMI SPLITBOARD

Carve out your own backcountry adventure on the XV Sashimi Splitboard – a board built for playful exploration and full-send mode. Style wise this fits somewhere between the XV and XV Sushi designs.

We love the XV Sashimi for so many reasons – it’s difficult to know where to start. Suffice it to say that there is nothing more beneath your feet than you need, but enough to make your ride a lasting memory.

Expect explosive pop and stability with the AmpTek Elite Rocker for added power and edge-gripping. You’re in for a smooth ride on this one!

9. MEN’S ROSSIGNOL XV WIDE SNOWBOARD

Here comes the award-winning brainchild of Xavier De Le Rue. That’s right, the XV is back and still boasting the same 80% camber pocket for extra pop and a super directional shape.

Notice the large nose and narrow tapered tail – everything you need for an effortless float down snowy mountains. All of the boards we’ve listed here offer a smooth ride, but this one is especially at ease on the slopes.

The Juggernaut is available in 2 extra sizes, extending the reach, with a thinner construction for smoother rides. The RadCut enhances sidecut radius control for laser-like precision too.

Not only does it have a great name, but this board utilise Paulownia wood laminates for a very impressive strength to weight ratio. You can expect plenty of explosive pop as well!

7. MEN’S ROSSIGNOL REVENANT SNOWBOARD

Next up, we’ve got this surfy option with another great name – one that recalls a critically acclaimed film in which Leonardo is mauled by a bear and earns himself an Oscar.

Unlike the film, this Revenant snowboard doesn’t throw you into a series of arduous survival scenarios. The only thing you’re in for is a long and pleasant ride through the snow.

This is a great option for any riders with a zest for powder and next-generation freeride performance. Enjoy seamless edge transitions on the RadCut design, which blends reverse and traditional sidecuts with a flat base.

6. MEN’S ROSSIGNOL ESCAPER SPLITBOARD

Take the tracks less travelled on the Rossignol Escaper Split, styled with a twin shape and freestyle feel for all your splitboard adventures. The reverse flex is perfect for a switch of directional control to your front foot.

Also, the RadCut design allows for a more playful feel and effective edge-to-edge transitions once you enter that flow state. Forget all your worries and embrace the feel of the wind as you glide down the slopes.

5. WOMEN’S ROSSIGNOL AFTER HOURS SPLITBOARD

This one was developed by four-time Freeride World Tour champion, Marion Haerty. You can ride freely with more tail, shorter sidecut radiuses and a smaller pintail.

It’s a perfect choice for intermediate to expert riders – reliable even when you enter full-send mode, carve packed snow and take on tough conditions. When the going gets hard the After Hours board delivers!

4. WOMEN’S ROSSIGNOL MYTH SNOWBOARD

This is one of the best freestyle boards for women you can find on the market. When it comes to Rossignol snowboards it’s pretty hard to beat the Myth – a budget-friendly pick for entry-level riders.

3. WOMEN’S ROSSIGNOL DIVA SNOWBOARD

Get ready to charge hard on the 2021 DIVA, which, as the name suggests, is comfortably itself in the face of all obstacles. No matter the mountain, you’ll feel at home with the strong twin freestyle flex design.

When conditions are tough, the DIVA bites down and keeps you upright on both firm snow and ice. Innovative L.I.T.E. frame technology enables full-length shock absorption and stability as you ride as well.

2. WOMEN’S ROSSIGNOL MERAKI SNOWBOARD

The MERAKI (pronounced: may-rah-kee) is a true twin freestyle snowboard for woman. This pick was designed for those who fall helplessly in love with snowboarding.

The AmpTek AutoTurn rocker, symmetrical flex and true twin shape are just a few of the industry’s best board features, included in this design. There’s plenty of clever technology in there that glides beneath your feet.

This is a great option for a smooth adventure the next time you hit the slopes. It also helps that this board looks super cool and offers the underestimated benefit of feeling good as you ride.

1. WOMEN’S ROSSIGNOL SOULSIDE SNOWBOARD

Finally, we’ve dug our feet into the versatile Soulside snowboard. This all-mountain ride is perfect for improving skills and honing your technique on the slopes. The soft flex makes the board manoeuvrable for a catch-free ride on all kinds of terrain.

You might also appreciate the softer flex, which offers an easy ride with extra stability. The gentle grip and shock absorption are superior features that also combine to earn this board a spot on our list.
