What are Loadable Dumbbells?
Loadable Dumbbells are a versatile alternative form of traditional dumbbells.
They do not have one fixed weight. Instead, the weights can be loaded on and off the sleeves in order to change the weight of the dumbbell, just like a barbell.
The sleeves are the same diameter as an Olympic barbell. This means you can also use the same weights for both training implements.

Loadable Design
Functioning like a barbell-dumbbell hybrid, Rogue Loadable Dumbbells allow athletes to easily adjust the weight of a single DB using the same standard Oly plates they’d load on a bar.
This makes the Loadable Dumbbell well suited for a larger gym—where multiple athletes can quickly customize the dumbbell to their own needs—or a small home gym, as it can eliminate the need for storing a full set of traditional DBs.
Built to the Same Specs as the Rogue Barbells
Manufactured in Columbus, Ohio, Rogue Loadable Dumbbells are built like miniaturized versions of their barbells, with all the excellent quality and materials.
The sleeves are machined from a single piece with a bright zinc finish, and include quality bushings and a snap ring design.
An original, precision knurl pattern also creates a firm but non-abrasive grip.
E-Coat Finish
The black electrocoat, or E-Coat finish, is an electrically-applied paint coating noted for its excellent corrosion resistance, cost efficiency, and green benefits.
It has been widely adopted by leading manufacturers for the finishing of auto parts, metal stampings, fasteners, lawn/garden & agricultural equipment, military equipment, and much more.

While the Rogue Loadable Dumbbells are compatible with any standard-size Olympic plates, they’ve also designed a unique new cylinder-style bumper—the Rogue Dumbbell Bumper—created specifically for use with their Loadable Dumbbells.
At a universal diameter of 230mm, these compact plates create more of a centralized distribution of weight, resulting in a look and feel more like a traditional dumbbell.
Rogue Loadable Dumbbells
Rogue’s Loadable Dumbbells condense the key design and manufacturing elements of their full-size Ohio Barbell into a compact, versatile new format.
As an alternative to storing a complete set of traditional dumbbells in your gym, the DB-10 and DB-15 Dumbbell offer loadable sleeve lengths of 3.625” and 6.75” respectively—enabling athletes to make precision, custom weight adjustments in their dumbbell training using any standard Olympic plates as the increments.
They have also developed a new type of cylindrical 230mm diameter plate—the Rogue Dumbbell Bumper—manufactured specifically for use with the Loadable Dumbbell.
Note, only the 10LB and 15LB Dumbbell Bumpers are compatible with the DB-10 due to the reduced sleeve length.
The DB-10 and DB-15 are sold individually and are available in two shaft finishes: Black Zinc or Stainless Steel (all variations have a Bright Zinc sleeve finish).

Rogue DB25-10 Loadable Dumbbell
An alternative option to the Rogue standard DB-10 and DB-15 Loadable Dumbbells, the DB25-10 adapts its design from the Rogue Bella Bar rather than the Ohio Bar, resulting in a smaller handle diameter (25mm vs 28.5mm), reduced distance between the collars (5” vs 5.5”), and a different knurl pattern.
This model also combines Bright Zinc sleeves with a striking Black E-Coat shaft finish, known for its excellent adhesion, even coverage, and overall toughness.
As with all of their Loadable Dumbbells, the DB25-10 offers gym owners a customizable, space efficient alternative to storing a complete set of traditional DBs.
With 4” of loadable sleeve length, the barbell-style design allows the user to make precision, custom weight adjustments using any standard Olympic plates.

This variation of the Rogue DB25-10 Loadable Dumbbell features a stainless-steel shaft and the same proprietary matte black sleeve finish first introduced on their Ohio Bar 2.0S.
This advanced finishing process transforms the surface of the steel rather than coating it, greatly increasing the sleeves’ long-term corrosion resistance and colour endurance.

Designed for use with their Loadable Dumbbells, Rogue’s cylindrical Dumbbell Bumpers come in six weight increments (10LB, 15LB, 25LB, 35LB, 45LB, 55LB)—each measuring the same 230MM in diameter.
This unique patent-pending design allows athletes to load on more weight, customized to their training level, while still maintaining the compact look and feel of a traditional dumbbell.
While Rogue’s DB-10 and DB-15 Loadable Dumbbells are compatible with other Olympic plate options, their specialized Dumbbell Bumpers offer a new opportunity for a more centralized weight distribution and easier handling.
Each Dumbbell Plate is also built to the same quality as their full-size Rogue Colour Training Plates, with a tested Shore A durometer of 88, along with a chrome-plated insert and bright colour finish.
The weight tolerance is +/- 1%, and all plates include exclusive Rogue branding.

There is no better way to get the most out of your Rogue Loadable Dumbbell than with the addition of these plates.
The cylinder shape of the Rogue Dumbbell Bumper means that each weight increment, from 10LB up to 55LB, has the same 230MM diameter (roughly 9″), creating a much more compact and natural-feeling dumbbell.
The three largest plates (35LB, 45LB, and 55LB) are a universal 150MM in thickness, as well.
The centre inserts are cut-out to fit over the Loadable Dumbbell collar for a secure fit.
